Krishna Janmasthami 2005

This year's Janmasthami had the largest ever number of attendance with some 2500 devotees.It began at 7.00pm till 12.00 midnight and the crowd stay back the whole time until the mid night arati.It was so crowded that barricades had to be in place to assist in crowd movement which gave everyone a chance to have nice darshan of the lord.

The killing of Kamsa a drama staged by our Vaikuntha Players enthralled the crowd very much.

Our young devotees seen in rapt attention enjoying the drama.

The transcendental abhisekha or bathing ceremony being carried out by our Pujaris.Their Lordship are bathe with milk, yogurt,Ghee,honey and sweet water.

Everyone blissfully offering some milk to the Lord and thereby increasing their loving devotion to Him.

Finally devotees breaking their fast with prasadam after fasting without water since 4.00am in the morning.

Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohan Janmasthami Dress

This year's New out fit for the deities was sponsored by Mr.Chandresh D.Trivedi on behalf of His grandmother.It was done in a short time of only three weeks.With help of our devotee in Vrndavana Sriman Ghanasyam Goswami Prabhu this was made possible.We are all very sure that Their Lordship look very beautiful in them.

Srila Prabhupad's Vyasa Puja on 28.8.05

Inviting all disciples,devotees,well wishers and friends to this most important event of the year.

Srila Prabhupad our eternal Spiritual Master's transcendental appearance day celebration falls immediately after Lord Krishna's birthday on Sunday 28th August 05.

It is said that no one can obtain Lord Krishna's mercy without going through a Bona-Fide Spiritual Master.It is undoubtedly agreed that Srila Prabhupad is a very powerful and pure representative of Lord Krishna.In fact it can be said that he is a saktya vesha avatar of the Lord.It would be rather inappropriate not to honour such a Special servant of the Lord with all due worship as the Lord Himself.

Celebration to start from 11.am with abisekha, arati,puspanjali, reading out written offerings in praise of Srila Prabhupad and finally prasadam.

There would be a Cultural Program with drama,dances etc in the evening from 7.pm onwards.Please do not miss this out.

Lord Krishna's Appearance day celebration.The temple has planned some wonderful activities with Arati,Kirtan,Drama,Cutural Dances,Children proprams and many more.

The Abisekha, bathing ceremony for the Lord will begin at 10.00pm this is a chance for very one to come and bath the Lord by pouring some Milk onto Him.

The midnight arati is schedule for 12 midnight, the hour that the Lord made His Divine Appearance.It is a very important day and all devotees are encouraged to increase their love and devotion on this day by performing more chanting, reading or engaging in some devotional service.All devotees are required to fast till midnight.

We would require help in various services for that day.Everyone is welcomed to perform some devotional service at the temple.

Balarama's Appearance Day & Killing Of Pralambasura

Lord Balarama's beautiful smile showed His special mercy on all of us.He is the giver of spiritual strength and by His mercy only one can make sufficient advancement.On this special day the program was sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Jeyaraja and family.

The killing of Pralambasura was the high point of the festival,it brought extreme happiness to one and all to witness the killing. Madana Mohan and Santhiran Prabhus made everyone very frightful with their background demonic cries. It was so realistic that little children ran fearfully to their mothers.

Neverthless Pralambasura was eventually killed and all rush to savior the mahaprasadam that fell off Pralambasura's broken head.

2nd And 3rd Day Of Julan Yatra

The 2nd day was sponsored by Mr and Mrs Vijay Bajaj. Mr Bajaj along with his family took time off from their busy schedule to perform some devotional service for the Lord by decorating the swing.It is very inspiring to see our householder devotees taking a very active part in the celebration.He remarked that he never felt better in his life,it was one of his most memorable day doing something most worthwile,service to Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohana.
Our Devotees lead by His Grace Raghupathi Prabhu singing very nice bhajans for the pleasure of Their lordship and the many vaisnavas present.The third day of the festival was sponsored by Mr Diraj.It is very enthralling to see the swing on this day as the decoration was very beautiful. Mr. and Mrs Chandran did a very fabulous job, their devotional decorational spirit was very inspiring.They brought out the mood of Vrindavan.

FIRST DAY OF JULAN YATRA

The first day of Sri Julan Yatra was sponsored by Mr and Mrs Kantilal.Mrs Kantilal and her daughter Miss Panna spent hours to decorate the swing with
flowers,fruits,birds and butterflies making the swing just suitable for the Divine pastimes of Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohana.We also had recently renovated the courtyard of the temple just in time for the swing festival.This is the first time that we ever had the festival down in our courtyard.

It was very beautiful with the chanting, the ambiance it sort of brings you to the spiritual world.Athough it was Ekadasi, Raghupathi Prabhu whipped up a great feast.It was ecstasy.Try not to miss this wonderful opportunity,a chance in this life time.

Julan Yatra Begins -16th to 19th at 7 to 9 pm

One of the most popular events in the holy town of Vrindavana, India - where Lord Krishna appeared 5,000 years ago - is the celebration of Jhulan Yatra, the Radha-Krishna swing festival.
For four days, small Deities are taken from the altar and placed on an elaborately decorated swing in the courtyard of the temple.The courtyard is very artistically decorated with flowers, plants and with the aid of coloured lights it creates an out of the world experience.The ambiance is so created to facilitate the swinging pastimes of Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohana. Members of the congregation are invited to participate and swing the Deities to and fro. Each person offers flower petals and personal prayers, and then swings the deities to and fro several times as the other members chant Hare Krishna in kirtan. The atmosphere of this festival is especially sweet as everyone has the chance to intimately serve Radha and Krishna.

House Programs

It is one of the very important duty of the House holders to invite devotees to their house for purification.When the devotees come chant and partake prasadam their house becomes fully santified.This is strongly recommended in the sastra.Due to being engaged in sense gratification the house holder need to purify himself from time to time and in this day and age the best method of purification is to engage in congregational chanting the Holy Names of the Lord i.e.Chanting Hare Krsna.We are please to announce that Devotees of Sri Krishna Mandir are willing to make house calls along with Sri Sri Gaura Nitai Deities.Their Lordships will personally come to your House to engage in Nama Kirtan and take prasadam in your house.What auspiciousness! what benefit! so please do not let this opportunity go by.Please call the temple to book your dates for immediate purification.Hare Krsna.

Spiritual Upliftment

Come join us for Mangala Arati at 5.00am.This is a very spiritually uplifting program.Devotees assemble for the Mangala Arati, Tulasi Puja and Japa chanting. Performing together with the devotees is a very powerful method strongly recommended by Srila Prabhupad.The program then goes on for the Deity Greeting at 7.00am followed by Srila Prabhupad Guru Puja and then Srimad Bhagavatam class.Daily Morning program is a very important aspect of any Hare Krsna Devotee.Strong Sadhana means following regularly the Morning program.So why not try to take advantage of this at the temple.

Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohan Boat Festival

The above event is schedule on the 11th of September at the Jalan Besar swimming complex.The program is from 6.00pm till 9.00pm. Their Lordship would be taken on a boat ride around the swimming pool amidst joyous Kirtan, Loud chanting of the Holy names of the Lord.It would be a perfect way to get oneself purified from all the anxieties of the material world.By sincerely pleasing the Lord one rids himself of all anarthas or Sinnful reactions.So why not make oneself free to free oneself.

Srila Prabhupada Vyasa Puja 28.8.05

This most blessed event the appearance day of our Divine Spiritual Master A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad would be celebrated with great pomp at the Sri Krishna Mandir at 11.00am till 2.00pm.All devotees are requested to be present.There will be an abisekha for Srila Prabhupad followed by Arati and puspanjali.All devotees are requested to write an offering for Srila Prabhupad.Prasadam will be offered to one and all.There will be a cultural program in the evening beginning at 7.00pm onwards.All are invited.

Sri Krishna Janmasthami 27.8.2005

The above event is to held at the Sri Krishna Mandir, 9 Norris Road.It is to celebrate the Divine Appearance of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna. Many programs will be held from 7.00pm till 12 midnight at the temple, please come and celebrate. Devotees are expected to fast throughout the day by abstaining from even water. All are advise to increase their Krsna Consciousness by way of more hearing and chanting of the pastimes of the Lord.There will be an Abisehka (Milk bath of the Lord ) at about 10.30pm.Participants are encourage to purchase milk for bathing of the Lord.By participating in this most auspicious event it would greatly help us in making further advancement in our spiritual lives.

Sri Balarama Appearance Day 19.8.2005

Lord Balaram appearance day is celebrated at noon in the temple.All are invited for this event.There will be a puspanjali (offering of flowers).Lord Balarama is the giver of spiritual strength.There will also be a program at 7.00pm in the evening.It will be the last day of the swing festival.The will be a drama on the Killing of Pralambasura.Please come along with your family.Prasadam will be served.

We would be having Julan Yatra beginning from 16th of August till 19th of August. Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohana would be taken on a swing ride.The festival will begin at 7.00pm till 9.00pm.Please come along with your family to obtain the blessings of Their Lordship.

Successful Ratha Yatra held on 10.7.05

The Ratha Yatra on the 10th went fantastically well, it was witness by atleast 2000 over people. Despite the rain we had a good turnout.
